This 1964 Galaxie 500 2 door fastback is the perfect project car. To my knowledge I am only the second owner of this car. Car has sat in my garage for the last 15 years and sat in the garage of the lady I bought if from for 15 years before that. The paint job is original but does have some rust. All rust is just surface rust. There are no holes from corrosion in the body, floor pans, or trunk pan. Although the trunk does have surface rust. There is one fixable dent and a couple small dings. 95% of the chrome inside and out is in good shape but there are two pieces missing from the outside. This car has not been restored before. Car has not been registered since 1982 and still has the original yellow and black CA license plates. The interior does need to be recovered. The original 289 motor is included but is currently not in the car. The transmission is not the original. The car was running when I parked it. I took the engine out to rebuild it but never got around to it. It comes with mag wheels. The mileage shows 16,416 miles. It didn't turnover during the time that I had it but may have before I bought it so to be safe I'll say it has 116,416. I do know that it has sat for at least 30 years so I will try to find out for sure. I hate to see this car sitting any longer before I have time to get to it so I'm hoping to sell it to someone who would love to completely restore it.
