Only 1 California lady owner ONLY 6,084 miles from new 1978 Lincoln Mark V This is simply hard to believe. The car offered is a one California lady owned from new 1978 Lincoln Mark V coupe. Remarkable, yes. However, the truly amazing part of this story is that it has only covered only 6,084 miles from new! Owned by a quite obsessive local lady, who was bought the car as a gift in 1978 by her husband, the car essentially sat in the garage for 34 years, only to be driven on very special occassions and to exercise it about once a month. As a result it is offered here in near new condition. Paint is excellent throughout, as is chrome and wheels, that may be shod with the original tires, though they are not cracked or flat. The interior is as near perfectly new as you can get. There is no wear to speak of on any of the surfaces. The red velour wears very quickly, yet looks perfect in this example. As you can imagine, the car needed re-commissioning after it was liberated from its garage home of a third of a century. The car was completely gone through including a full service, fluid changes, fresh gas, carb rebuild, etc. A new radiator was also installed. The car recently passed a CA Smog test with flying colours. Now, the car is mechanically excellent. Everything works as it should, including brakes, suspension, steering, and all electrical with cold AC.
