Up for bids is this 1956 chevy short bed stepside.Truck is bone stock.6 cylinder,4 speed trans. on the floor.This truck starts ,runs,drives and stops well.All of the gauges work as they should.(fuel,temp,oil pressure,speedo,ampmeter).Horn works.headlights work.Tailight needs installed and wired.Glass is in decent condition(a couple small chips in windshield.vent wing has a crack .Brand new oak bed floor with all new bolts.all new wheel cylinders.Brakes work good but pull a little to the right front.overall condition of this pick up is good.There are a couple rust issues common to this model truck.The lower driver side door hinge.The tops of the front fenders near the cowl.pasenger side floorboard has a small amount of rust through,drivers side is fine.There is a small rust spot on the drivers rear fender front below the spare tire mount.and one more on the drivers side bed side.All of these areas are in the pics.The truck looks to have been spruced up once a while back.It has been repainted once and looks like the cab corners may have had a little repair.All in all it`s a good solid truck you could drive as you restore or run it as is.Included in the auction is an extra hood and a non spare tire mount drivers side rear fender.both are in good condition.I have all four original hubcaps but only three wheels.Hey it even has the owners manual in the glove box.If it were not for the condition of the tires(bias ply on front) and the tail lights I believe you could drive it home.I have put about twenty miles on it just around the neighborhood.Clutch feels fine.Tranny shifts good.If you have any ?`s call 1-785-675-1197 be happy to answer any you may have.The pick up is located in Hoxie Ks.67740.Thats about 4 hours east of denver.and 6 hours west of KC.
