I am offering for bid my beloved 1995 Nissan 300 ZX Twin Turbo. I’m a 64 year old semi-retired former corporate president, who has owned more then 60 automobiles during my years. I had read and kept all of the Car and Driver, Road and Track, Motor Trend etc. articles that followed this automobiles launch in 1990. When it won its 5th 10 Best Awards from Car and Driver, after my partner and I discussed increasing our “car allowance”. I walked into Performance Nissan, in Duarte, Ca. near Pasadena, and they had a 1995 Platinum Metallic Twin Turbo on the showroom floor. I leased it knowing that at the end of the lease, I would purchase it after the company had absorbed the depreciation. I also purchased the Nissan’s, 100,000 mile, 7 year warranty. The Japanese yen was so strong during that period that prices had grown to more then $44,000. [See window sticker picture]. I was single at this time and had 3 other automobiles so there was never a need to use this for anything other long road trips and vacation cruises to Washington State, or Oregon, Big Sur, etc. This has been the most enjoyable, trouble free automobile I have EVER owned. It has had a much pampered life, always garaged and covered with a 100% cotton car cover and it has never seen snow or salt ever. When the lease was up I purchased the auto and began a comprehensive program to enhance its already competent capacities. I began with the suspension and brakes first because I feel that any money poured into the drive train until this is completed is unwise. Everything upgraded was completed at a Nissan Dealership or at Steve Millen Sports Car and Jim Wolf Technology. 1. Brembo, cross drilled rotors on all four wheels 2. Stillen, Metal Matrix, pads all around. 3. Stillen, braided stainless steel brake lines. 4. Stillen, front and rear adjustable sway bars 5. Stillen, adjustable tension rods to replace rubber location rods which become soft and erratic over time. 6. Stillen, fully adjustable front upper arms allow easy camber adjustment for a dialed in front end. 7. Stillen, complete rear sub-frame Delrin, bushings set, this requires dropping the entire rear sub-frame but the benefits in stability are staggering. Sports Compact Car Magazine stated that these bushings should be mandatory for anyone trying to seriously improve the handling of their 300ZX. This ZX now handled as if it were truly on rails with no lean and completely stabile with none of the twitchiness is very high speed sweepers. I read everything I could get my hands on and determined that for this automobiles intended use, I would go for all around drivability with complete reliability .From Nissan, these motors are very strong incorporating many features only seen in race motors from forged crankshafts and shot peened connecting rods to baffled oil pans and windage trays to prevent frothing of the oil. I wanted North of 400 rear wheel horsepower so I went to meet with both Jim Wolf and the staff at Stillen. I was not interested in drag racing and really wanted something to shock the _____ out of muscle cars and Porsche owners that like to preen for their girlfriends on the highway. This is what the experts suggested and I took their advice. 1. Borla, Stainless steel exhaust. I tried BB, but it was too loud for my Q ship. 2. Jim Wolf, Pop Charger and ECU upgrade, I discussed my intended highway/touring use and the other changes I planned on making. 3. Stillen, large intercoolers that fit unseen behind the front fascia. 4. Stillen, designed intercooler ductwork with underbody venting to extract the air from the intercoolers. 5. Jim Wolf, Sport 500 turbo’s 6. Nissan Racing 550 cc injectors. 7. Blitz, blow off valves 8. GReddy, PRofec-B spec low & high adjustable boost controller. 9. Stillen, under drive pulley and belt set this past year when the timing belt and water pump were replaced along with a Nizmo, thermostat all Nissan parts 10. Z1, roller bearing short shifter was installed 6 months ago. 11.Stillen, aluminum flywheel with ACT. clutch and pressure plate. Please forgive me for the length of this. This car has had sheepskin seat covers from new and every year I would remove them to apply Connolly Hide Food, then I put the covers back on. That is why the seats look as new with No scuffing in the seat bolsters. My friend owned a trimming shop in Pasadena, so he made me a cargo mat out of thick carpet and padding so the cargo carpets are as new, same for the cabins carpets….as new. Head unit is an Alpine CDE 126BT with Bluetooth and IPhone ready. All fluids, clutch slave, power steering, radiator, and brake fluid were replaced every three years with Nissan, replacement fluids. Transmission and rear differential are always serviced with Redline Brand lubricants. Engine has had only Mobil 1 since new and never traveling more then 3000 miles per change. The wiper blades front and rear all Nissan and less then 6 months old.The tires are new with less then 1000 miles, Continental Extreme DW on front and Toyo Proxxes TR1 on the rear. The high beams are Piaa, Extreme White and the lows are another high end provider.I will include a new HID lighting Kit that I purchased prior to buying the Piaa. My wife wants to return to Asia, and the import duties are in excess of 300 % on used cars or trust me, this car would be going with me. Original paint is Great, as you would expect from a garaged and covered automobile. Any questions please ask !! Robert.
