Offered for sale is my beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang convertible with only 45,600 miles on the odometer. It has original paint with a clear coat that was added many years ago. The convertible top is brand new and has not yet been retracted. The interior is white vinyl and the front buckets are in great shape. The rear seat however has a midline seam rip. The carpet was replaced a few years ago and shows some mild fading in the center. The steering wheel is an original refurbished wood-grain wheel and looks great. There is an original, fully-functioning Rally-Pac. Under the dash is a dealer-installed original ARA air conditioning unit that runs well. However, the unit needs to be re-charged and converted to the new refrigerant. There is an after-market radio that works nicely but the previous owners did a sub-par job in its installation. Under the hood is a strong running 170 cid, 6-cylinder motor. It is mated to a smooth-shifiting 3 speed manual transmission. I bought and installed a new, NOS Autolite 1100 carburetor that was reported to have never been placed on a car. There is also a nicely refurbished valve cover along with new plugs, spark plug wires and a new coil. The body is extremely straight with nice panel-fit. However, there are several cosmetic imperfections pictured and the lower rear quarters are starting to show some bubbles. The undercarriage is very nice However, there is a hole located at the front passenger fire wall. The floors are rust free and solid. NO HOLES! The frame rails have no rust through. On the corners are brand-new radials and new wire wheel covers. These give the car an appealing regal look. I bought this car 6 years ago while I was deployed to the Middle-East. It had only 37,000 original miles. Since then, I have enjoyed countless weekend drives to the tune of only about 1000 miles per year. I change the oil every year and the car has always been strictly garage-kept. It only sees sunny weather and has NEVER been driven in the rain. Please remember that this car is 47 years old and is not represented in any way as a perfect vehicle. However, it is very nice and shows and drives well. A nice re-spray would make this car stunning. The only reason I am selling the car is because my 18 y/o son just started college and I want to use the proceeds to help fund his education.
