Up for auction is a nice restorable 1939 Plymouth sedan. I was planning on getting this car running and driveable before the winter but I just ran out of time and would rather sell it to someone who has an indoor space to work on it instead of letting it sit outside until the spring. The car is in very good shape for its age overall. It was last on the road in 1976 according to the inspection sticker and was stored in a garage up until about two years ago. The car is currently not running but I installed a battery and the engine turns over when the starter is depressed. It appears there is no spark getting to distributor so either the coil is bad or there is a wiring issue but either way it shouldn't take much to get it running. The body is in good shape with some small areas of rot at the bottom of the grill and a repaired area under the trunk. There are some spots where the rear fenders meet the body where there is some bondo chipping off from an older restoration. The floor appears to be solid but there are two small spots on the drivers side where there is some rot below the doors but it should be an easy fix. I have not opened the trunk all the way because it only has one hinge installed but the previous owner mentioned that there was some rot inside. Other than what I've mentioned the car appears to be a great starting point for a rat rod or restoration project. The car has a some spare parts and some parts that were taken off it at some point. Here is a partial list of whats there: - Original glass tail lights with Plymouth emblem - Spare used fuel pump - NIB voltage regulator - NIB shackles for leaf springs - Original trumpet style horns - Some pieces of grill molding that are missing in the photo - Spare tire on rim - Various screws - Rear light assembly for under license plate bracket (missing emblem) - Trunk hinge that is missing in photos - Etc (I will look through the back of the car when I get time to see what else is there) This car has a clean PA title. The car rolls and goes in and out of gear easily so it can be transported without any issues. The only changes to it are that the sides of the hood are now in primer otherwise its as you see it in the photos. The other parts in the back were taken off of the car while someone was attempting to do some restoration work on it. The frame for the drivers side window that is missing in the photos along with the vent window frame are there but the glass is broken. There are also two spare wiper motors and the wiper blades. The door panel and handles for the drivers side door are also back there. 11/19/12 Relisted with a lower buy it now and lower reserve price. The engine is complete (the missing air cleaner in the photos is in the back seat) and the radiator does have fluid in it.
