You are bidding on a 1991 Pontiac Firebird Formula. This is an excellant project car. It is not pretty to look at and it will need some repairs however the car is structurally sound and the engine works. Before you bid please note the following: -I have been advised that the head gasket on the engine is failing and the engine will probably need a rebuild. -The car has elecrical problems. The interior lighting does not work, the power locks do not work, the lifter motors on the headlights also do not work, the lift motor on the hatchback lock does not work although the hatchback lock does work, and I have had to fix the tail lights twice since purchasing the car. -The horn does work although the switch is on the dashboard rather than the steering wheel. -There is no stereo currently in the car although I do have the factory stereo. If you would like the factory stereo I can get it for you but it will probably not be available when I deliver the car. -The interior of this car is rough. -The rubber seals on the hatch back and t-tops are old and leak in some places. -I have replaced the steering column twice in this car. -As far as I know the cruise control does not work altough I have not tested it. -This car may have been smoked in. I'm not sure. -The car is missing some speakers. I only have the front speakers. -The car will need to be inspected. -The windsheild is cracked and will need to be replaced. -The driver's side mirror is broken. -The car has no AC. I don't know if the problem is a leak or if the compressor is shot. -The driver's side door lock is broken and will not unlock with the key. Now for the good stuff: -The car has a customized exhaust system which includes headers. I'm not sure if they are Edelbrock or Hooker. It is probably running at a higher HP than what it is factory rated at although I have not tested it. -The car has a brand new battery. -The tires are only a year old and have good tread on them. -The break pads are about ten months old and have two months left on them. -The body is structurally sound and I have not found any rust on it. -Both front speakers are working and sound pretty good for the car's age. -Despite the head gasket problem the engine runs fairly well and will start with minimal effort. -I have replaced the fuel pump, timing chain and a number of smaller parts in the engine.
