0 0 1 477 2719 Goodman Reed Corporation 22 6 3190 14.0 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Offered for sale is a beautifully presented, mechanically superb, rust-free California 1955 MG TF with its desirable matching numbers 1500 engine and gearbox. Finished in its gorgeous “MG Red” over red leather seats and black carpeting, the car is an absolute head-turner. If you’re in the market for a “needs-nothing”, “turn-key” example with a numbers-matching 1500 engine, this car deserves your serious attention. We have shown the car locally and participated in a number of touring events with wonderful reactions. This is a special little 1500 TF offered in its last year of the production run and sure to continue to appreciate in value. The car’s exterior is in very good condition. The finish is straight and in great shape. The panel fit is excellent throughout, the chrome and glass are perfect and the beautiful knock-off wire wheels are wrapped in tires with plenty of remaining tread. The car’s interior is equally as clean with excellent seats, carpeting and interior panels. Everything works on the car and it comes equipped with a perfect soft top. The car also comes with a full tonneau cover, an owners manual and shop manual. Lastly, the undercarriage is correct and free of rust or rust repair. It’s a car that won’t disappoint. The original 1500 engine turns easily, idles consistently and pulls strongly and smoothly through each of the gears. Introduced in 1954, the 1500 engine produced more power than its preceding 1250 counterpart and was heavily praised upon its release. Far fewer 1500 examples were produced, so it’s no surprise that when it comes to any T-Series MG the TF 1500 is the car to have. The brakes function as they should and the car is a joy to drive. Whether tooling through town, winding through the canyons or going for a jaunt up the coast on the highway, the car performs beautifully and gets attention at every stoplight. It’s a car that has everything important going for it: late production 1500 example, numbers matching, rust-free, nicely restored and mechanically sound. Please consider with confidence. We want this car to go to a great home, so please feel free to email me or give us a call at (805) 886-1823. Thanks for your interest. You can visit us online at goodmanreed. While I have a California dealer license, I’m not your typical dealer. I’ve always had an appreciation for classic cars and have always bought and sold them to create a kind of very small revolving personal collection, which, up until this posting, has contained the MG TF you’re currently looking at. I try to give accurate descriptions of the cars I’m selling, but I’m not an expert and I encourage and am happy to help facilitate personal or professional inspections. But please do so before bidding, as the alternative harms my ability to make sales with other interested parties who have done their proper due diligence before bidding. For U.S. buyers a 10% non-refundable deposit is required within 3 days of the auction's end, the balance to be paid within 7 days of the auction's end. Foreign buyers must pay in full within 7 business days of auction’s end. Buyer is responsible for shipping, however I'd be more than happy to help with recommendations and arrangements. The car is listed locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time should it sell prior to auction's end. Thanks for your interest.
