Finished in its gorgeous “MG Red” over red leather seats and black carpeting, the car is an absolute head-turner. We have shown the car locally and participated in a number of touring events with wonderful reactions. This is a special little 1500 TF offered in its last year of the production run and sure to continue to appreciate in value. The car’s exterior is in very good condition. The finish is straight and in great shape. The panel fit is excellent throughout, the chrome and glass are perfect and the beautiful knock-off wire wheels are wrapped in tires with plenty of remaining tread. The car’s interior is equally as clean with excellent seats, carpeting and interior panels. Everything works on the car and it comes equipped with a perfect soft top. The car also comes with a full tonneau cover, an owners manual and shop manual. Lastly, the undercarriage is correct and free of rust or rust repair. It’s a car that won’t disappoint. The original 1500 engine turns easily, idles consistently and pulls strongly and smoothly through each of the gears. Introduced in 1954, the 1500 engine produced more power than its preceding 1250 counterpart and was heavily praised upon its release. Far fewer 1500 examples were produced, so it’s no surprise that when it comes to any T-Series MG the TF 1500 is the car to have. The brakes function as they should and the car is a joy to drive. Whether tooling through town, winding through the canyons or going for a jaunt up the coast on the highway, the car performs beautifully and gets attention at every stoplight.
