Vehicle Detail

I purchased this vehicle in 2007 as a commuter car and have immensely enjoyed it. this has been one of the most reliable vehicles I have ever owned. I gets 30 miles per gallon at 75 miles per hour all the way home! It starts easily, handles and brakes as a fine German automobile should and is an absolute joy to drive! I am no longer commuting to the Salt Lake City airport so I need to sell this car.I hope the new owner will drive it every day and enjoy it! Although it needs a bit of restoration, I believe it is still a good daily driver. This is one of the finest automobiles ever made! On Nov-18-12 at 20:45:26 PST, seller added the following information:Hello, and thanks for your interest. The car is in mostly decent shape. As any 30 year old car, it needs some wear and tear items repaired. There is some minor rust areas near the lower fenders which would require minor bodywork. I had an estimate done for a complete paint job with body repair at MAACO done about a year ago and they estimated around $900. The interior is in quite good condition with some minor cracks in the center armrest. The dash has some pretty good sized cracks so that would need to be replaced. I have a Dashamat over them. Heat and A/C both work although the blower motor isn't as strong as I would like to keep the interior completely cool in the summer. It does provide a cool breeze that helps though. After I let the car sit without running for a while (three months) it always starts right up. The engine runs strong and actually runs better on Bio-Diesel. After months of disuse, the transmission shifts hard for a bit, but then smooths out after a little driving. The speedometer never has worked while i've owned it. Kept meaning to have it fixed, but it was never a big priority. I would just go with the other traffic or would use an app on my phone. I wish I had better pictures, but I am in Phoenix, AZ and the car is in Salt Lake. Again, thanks for your interest and good luck bidding.
