Vehicle Detail
Offered is my 2008 Triumph Street Triple 675 in the coolest Triumph color, Roulette Green. I am the second owner of this bike and have always kept it in a heated garage. It has the fly screen and the Triumph bar end mirrors (work very well). Best of all, it has the Hyperpro suspension Combi Kit: http://www.epmperf.com/hyperpro-springs.htm which are progressive springs, both rear shock and front fork, designed for weight of about 150 lbs. Before installing these, the bike was very unsteady over bumps, but now is well controlled while still feeling like a sportsbike. Consider not only the part cost, but the labor to install them. This is obviously not the R model, but probably handles just as well. This bike has only 1919 miles (could go up a tad if I ride a bit), so it is almost like getting a brand new bike at maybe half the cost. If you don't know about the Street Triple, do a Google search. It wins just about every shootout. Comfortable ergonomics and a quite fast smooth triple You can either cruise around mildly or get the revs up & be a hooligan. Why am I selling? Due to major shoulder/back injury from bicycle accident, it is hard for me to push in & out of garage, so ride very little. It breaks my heart. I am going to just ride my CBR250R, which is slow but easy to push around. Oh, THE BAD, and I wish it didn't exist. I bought this bike off eBay. The shipper checked it out on pick-up and called that it was perfect. However, they did not tie-down multiple bikes correctly & one fell into another. There was a scratch on the gas tank. My husband tried to paint it with touch up paint; I don't really think he put his heart into it & I bet you could do better. I will include the Roulette Green touch-up paint & clear coat in hopes you are better. I didn't think it that big a deal to buy a new tank, very expensive, & it could probably be covered with a magnetic tank bag. Check out the photos, please. There is no dent, just into all the paint. The front fender was also scratched, so I bought new carbon front fender, a plus I would think. Looks like also a minor paint chip on one of the left front covers, could easily be touched up with some black paint. Absolutely no effect on handling, etc. So, if you want a great classic Brit bike on the cheap. Is this a good first bike? Well... the price is lower than the bike of your dreams. If you are mature enough to ride in the lower revs until you get used to it, control your throttle hand & you will be fine. If you go crazy before you are used to its nature, you could get in trouble. Are you really capable of doing stoppies/wheelies which this bike loves? When you are ready, it is there, but don't rush it. Please ask any & all questions before bidding. Will answer as honestly as possible. Buyer responsible for any shipping charges/arrangements. Local pick-up fine; I think it could be drive home. Thank you for looking & good luck!
