Vehicle Detail

1951 Chrysler New Yorker Convertible. My dad gave this to my mom as a wedding present in 1956 in California. They sold it when we moved cross-country in '71, and he went back and bought it back a few years later. He drove it from CA to MD (in 1975 or so) and started taking it apart to restore. For whatever reason he quit working on it, and it has suffered badly. It sat outside for a few years before being put into a garage in 1982. He has passed away, so all the old cars he had in the garage have been pulled out and have to be sold. I was going to keep this one myself for obvious sentimenal reasons, but I know deep down I'd never get to it and it would just waste away in my driveway. I'd much rather see it go to someone who will put it back together. Former beauty! (Weren't we all at one time?). As is, where is, what you see is what you get. It doesn't run. The driver's side door doesn't open. The top frame has been partially disassembled. It is VERY rough. There is a '51 New Yorker coupe listed separately which was bought as a parts car for this one. I have the title (pink slip) which the seller in CA signed when my dad bought it back; the purchaser information was never filled in. Email with questions, although I'm not sure how much more I can say. His house is 2+ hours from mine, so it's hard to get down there for more pictures. I should be going down on Thursday, so I can get more pictures then. Payment within 2 days of auction end (Tuesday, 11/20) paypal, cash, or money order, removal by Monday, 11/26. No in-person inspections possible; there have already been problems with theft from the property. On Nov-13-12 at 06:11:02 PST, seller added the following information: A note about removal: due to the configuration of the road, driveway, and various fences it is NOT possible to get a large multi-car carrier in to pick up the car. It needs either a single-car rollback or trailer, or it will need to be moved (at buyers expense) to a more accessible location in order to get a larger truck/trailer in. On Nov-15-12 at 18:01:50 PST, seller added the following information: Pictures added on 11/15. I've got a few more pictures available; eBay limit is 24. Will email on request. Floors seem solid, as does trunk floor (at least the corner I pulled the mat up on). Trunk has the various parts (door latches, etc.) that my dad removed. See pics.
