                                1990 Toyota Tercel Coupe             This is a  very clean car. I traded my neighbor a camping trailer for this car  last year. The trailer was worth about what I am asking for this car.   My neighbor had just paid a shop to install the factory rebuilt engine.   I wanted the car so my two teenage sons would have a car to drive without  pestering my wife and I to drive ours. I wanted a reliable and fuel  efficient car so that they would not be pestering us for gas money and  repairs also :) The rebuilt engine has around 1500 miles probably less.   The car has a 5 speed manual transmission. This is the crux of our  problem, neither of my two boys wants a manual trans. The trans shifts well and  the clutch seems excellent. I just paid a couple of hundred dollars  for a new muffler and fuel filter and aircleaner less than 200 miles ago. The only issue with this car is that the  carburetor needs some fine tuning by someone who is familiar with emission  controlled carbs. I personally am pretty sharp with carburetors but I  am an old guy that knows how to tune a carb for a muscle car, not an eco car  with emissions control. My neighbor could not get it tuned for  emission in Washington State and had to get an exemption. I tweeked it  to the point where it may pass but I will stay on the side of caution and  tell you it won't pass without professional carb tuning. The engine runs smooth and seems to make great  power, well for 72 hp that is ;) The interior is in amazing shape, the  dash has no fading or cracks and the upholstery is almost blemish free.   This car has no rust on the body and still sports the factory original paint  which is shiny in spots and dull in others. There are some dings and  small dents but this is a car that looks outstanding from 20 feet away.   I am not a car salesman and value my Ebay feedback more than I want the  money for this car. Ask any question and I will answer honestly.   I would rather not sell the car than to sell it to someone who is unhappy  with it.
