Vehicle Detail
71' Beautiful VW Bug with a new 2110 stroker motor, with a deep sump and dual 40 Dellortos, with only 1300 miles. Professionally rebuilt and buyer can talk to the owner of the VW shop where it was done. The suspension has been gone through. Replaced the old rubber with new urethane and a strut brace was installed in the trunk for better handling. Has the Bug shifter which is very tight as is the steering. The car truly has the handling and power of a porsche. Front and back are adjustable. Front disc brakes intalled and the car stops on a dime. Tires have very little wear. Paint looks great. Interior looks great as well, with new seat covers. Has hidden switch for the electronic fuel pump to prevent theft. Roller gas pedal as well. Bra also goes with the car. Garaged and has rarely been taken out over the last 13 years. I have receipts and documention to prove how little it's been driven. Comes with an original sunroof with a nice headliner. This Volkswagen has a really nice stance and it receives compliments where ever it goes! Bidders with less than 5 feedback, please contact me prior to bidding. Thank you and good luck! No Reserve!!!On Nov-13-12 at 08:12:12 PST, seller added the following information: I just wanted to update a few things on the vehicle. This car is 41 years old, so it's not brand new, except for the 2110 stroker motor and a few other things. The car shows very well and is really clean This car does not come with heat. Most VW's with modifications like this one have larger than stock exhaust piping, for performance, which don't fit the stock heater boxes. While most people are aware of this, I just wanted to make it clear. You can add aftermarket heaters if you wanted to. The other thing I wanted to add is while the paint looks nice, there is an area behind the rear bumper where it appears at one point the body had some repair and paint shows just a little cracking. It's not really that noticable being that it's behind the bumper, but I just wanted to make sure I didn't leave anything out. It also is virtually rust free except a small bubble, size of a quarter, behind the passengers rear vent. The pans and everything else is rust free. Other than that this really is a nice bug with the high performance of the engine and suspension. The motor alone is $4,000. Thank you and good luck!
