Vehicle Detail
This is a 1970 Ford Bronco. It is a project. It does not drive now, It needs to be restored. It has rust in the front floorpans. Or what is left of the driver's side. Right now it is a Fred Flintstone truck. After I got the truck awhile back, I pulled the piece of sheetmetal from the front driver's side floor and I was looking at the ground below. So that pan needs replacing. And the passenger side is pinholed so it will need replacement also. But believe it or not, the rest of the truck is not bad. Solid clean rockers, rear floor, lower doors, fenders, rear corners, tailgate, etc. The frame, mounts, cross member, axles, suspension are clean, rustfree and nice. I got the truck up in Washington, They get snow and rain. Kind of wierd the drivers front floor is so bad when the rest of the body is so nice. Maybe the guy hauled rock salt around on that floor. Anyway, this is a basic solid very original early Bronco. 6 cylinder bone stock engine, column shift manual tranny, lock out hubs. Best of all this truck has never been played with .While it may look like WW2, it is more like the War of 1812. I have to think this the factory origial pant.So no hidden treasures, no bondo, no cheap backyard spray bomb paintjobs., done at nite, after drinking a 12 pack. Uncut rear fender wells. With nice stock lips all around not vice gripped to death trying to fit big tires in there.Which is getting harder to find in early Broncos.I put gas down the carb and it fired right up. But the previous owner was changing steering columns out for some reason. Which might explain the shift linkage not hooked up now. So you can not drive it now till that is dealt with. He said he drove it no problem at all for decades around his ranch there up in the mountains. Which also might explain the not one but 2 hand controlled from in cab spot lights and the not one but two rifle racks mounted in the rear. But that is another story. The rubber fuel filler is cracked and needs replacing from the fill to the tank. The truck has dents here and there on the front fenders, the roof and some other places. There are 2 front fenders in the rear of the truck along with the spare ,the front bumper, and the other steering column with wheel. The left rear back glass is gone. I got another early hardtop with the deal, but it has a aftermarket sunroof cut into it. But if you don't want the whole thing, I would take the glass out and include it. This truck would make a great project. Either restore it back to stock.. Or use it as a really nice solid, mostly rustfree base for your own builder. Solid uncut original.early Broncos are getting harder to find. Pickup here in Prescott Arizona is encouraged. I will help with any shipping arrangements. And travel around the country with my truck and trailer picking up old stuff, so might be able to get close to you if you are in no big hurry.
