This is a 1964 Datsun 320 pickup.I got it in a package deal with some other old Datsuns from a fellow who was restoring it. But did not finish. He painted it,He did the interior over. New seat cover and new door panels not yet installed. He pulled the glass, trim, emblems, etc. Most of which is either in a box or behind the seat. There is no windshield gasket. The front and back glass is now just taped in there to keep the weather out. He lost the data plate in the engine bay. So he had it inspected by the California DMV and they put an assigned plate on there with the original factory chassis number. The title was put as a restored salvage because of this. It is now an Arizona title in my name. This truck has a very very nice body. The bed is a beauty. It was not used to haul river rock like most old pickups. The bed is flat , dentfree and nice. The tailgate is straight as can be and not u shaped as most are. The floors are solid,rustfree and nice. Solid rockers. Really as rustfree and straight an old Datsun as you probably are going to find. I tried to turn the engine to no success. The driveshaft is missing so I tried it by hand up in the engine bay. Hopefully it will free up with Marvel oil ,etc, but it may not. Hope for the best, plan for the worst.Though this truck would be a great one to update the 1200 cc powerplant so you can get off the shoulder on the freeway and drive in an actual lane.The tranny is a floor mount stick. Which I found out from a 320 expert is factory . He said the late 1964 320's used the next model year trannys from the 1965 520 Series in them. So it is the improved Datsun 520 tranny factory installed in the late 1964 320's. They did a pretty rough shop in the tranny tunnel cut department,. But they were new to it as they used to hang the shifter on the steering column with no cutting involved. This will make a great project. Either restore it back to stock or update the drivetrain and make a great little hauler. Pick up here in Prescott,Arizona is encouraged. I will help with shipping any way possible.
