Absolutely Beautiful Lexus GS400! Below is the Original Window Sticker for this GS400. This Lexus was $48,434.00 in 1998. Worth every penny.. This Lexus runs and drives perfect. Adult owned, garage kept, and always maintained on time using Lexus Recommended Service Intervals. Synthetic oil has been used since new. This GS400 has 266K miles, but you would never know it. It seriously feels like a 50K mile car. This car was used for traveling the country for work, so all of the miles are highway miles. This GS400 starts right up everytime. There are no leaks, no smoke, no warning lights, no smells, nothing. This Lexus idles very smoothly. It drives great on the road with a very smooth and sporty ride. The 4.0L V8 engine runs perfect with super smooth acceleration and alot of power. Rated 300HP from the factory according to the above window sticker. The automatic transmission shifts very smoothly through all gears with no issues. The brakes work great. The tires are were recently replaced at 250K miles and have 75% tread left. This Lexus drives straight down the road with no pulling or vibrations. This GS400 is a very reliable daily driver. It has never let me down. I just went to Minneapolis, MN and back with no problems. This car is a joy to drive and the interior is very comfortable and luxurious. It gets an amazing 26mpg on the highway. The AC works perfectly (very cold). The heat and all the temp controls work flawlessly with no issues. The heated front seats work perfect. Everything works great with no issues. The only thing to note is one of the bulbs behind the radio display is burnt out. It is the right side bulb, not the display panel. The readout is still visible during the day and at night. A replacement bulb is $2.50 at radio shack or $16 at Lexus and anyone with a some time and mechanical knowledge can remove the radio assembly and replace the mini bulb easily. The exterior of this Lexus is super clean! Well Above Average Condition (Near Excellent). This car was always detailed regularly and kept clean. The black paint still has a deep shine. The headlights were restored to new condition last year. The wheels have no curb rash but do have a little wear. There is no damage on the car. No accidents. There are no dents or major scratches. Absolutely no rust. After a close walk around, there is nothing that I can see that is worthy of mentioning. There may be one or two minor door dings, but you would have to hunt for them. Being that all the miles are highway miles, the front end has minor rock chips and bug remains. Please expect minor scratches and rock chips due to road debris and use. The windshield is perfect and it was recently replaced due to a rock chip expanding. Overall, this is possibly one of the cleanest daily driven GS400's out there. This is a super clean car. The interior is super clean as well with no issues. Every button, switch, and gadget works great. The carpet is in excellent condition with no holes or stains. The leather interior is still soft and supple and in great shape with no rips or cuts. The leather was conditioned regularly, which is why it is still in great shape. There are a few areas on the front seat where the leather has cracks in it due to use. The dash, door panels, glass, and headliner are all in perfect condition (Like New). The interior is very nice & clean. Maintenance & Repairs: This Lexus was meticulously maintained. Services were always performed on time so maintenance is up-to-date. I have all of the service records in a folder. All oil changes were done on time with synthetic oil and all major services have been performed. New Timing Belt, Water Pump, Tensioner, Drive Belt, Thermostat, Coolant, Upper Radiator Hose, Idler Pulleys, and 2 pulley Bearings were done at 218K Miles. Previous Timing Belt and Water Pump Service was done at 106K. Full service tune-up at 205K included 8 New Spark Plugs, 2 New Coils, New PCV Valve, New Air Filter, New Fluids in Transmission and Rear Differential, and New Cabin Air Filter. Cooling System and Transmission were Serviced Regularly with new fluids. New Brake Pads, Rotors, Lower Ball Joints, Struts, Lowering Springs Installed, and front/rear Sway Bar Bushings replaced at 197K. 4 New Z-Rated G-Max Tires were Installed at 250K miles. These tires are an agressive z-rated sport tire so they do make some noise. Tires were rotated at last oil change. Listing the complete history on here would take me forever, so I just listed some of the most recent major services. Repairs within the last 6 years include New 5YR Energizer Battery, 2 New Exhaust Gaskets, New Alternator, New A/C Compressor, New Windshield, and New Hood Struts. Other small things have been replaced like new batteries in keyless remotes, new door moldings, and new weather striping, ect.
