1959 Porsche 356A Speedster Intermeccanica Model 1979 Replica. this item is being relist due to a buyer not having financing PLEASE ENSURE YOU CAN GET FINANCING BEFORE YOU OFFER TO BUY. Family owned since new. In 1990 sold from one brother to the next. The second brother in 1992 had the entire undercarriage and frame upgraded along with the engine and has all the reciept. The cost in 1992 for the upgrades $15,251.00. It is on a custom jig fitted and mig welded A570 grade cold drawn box steel tubing frame. It had Independent suspension with adjustable heavy duty coil over springs shock absorbers. It has 4 wheel disc brakes with a dual master cylinders. A four speed RHINO gearbox transmits the 208 horsepower from the turbocharged 4 cylinder motor with an auxiliary oil cooler and many chromed parts. A new steering column assy and new fuel tank was added. One of only 660 made it was originally on a VW chassis, but in 1992 Metalcraft Products of Michigan made the new frame. With no expense spared CB Performance Products installed a chrome turbo engine. The convertible top was replaced and has both a red and black cover for the boot, along with plastic side curtains. Questions please ask. This car was originally built at the Intermeccanica factory which is still building cars in Canada today. This is not some home built kit.
