Read all before you bid! Selling my VW Jetta 2006 with 260000 miles all hwy (still driving it so the mileage might vary a bit). 11000 miles ago following have been done: -timing belt job (Gates - good fow 90000 miles, tensioner, new upgraded waterpump with steel impeller) - accessory belt new with new tensioner -oil change +filter good for 80000 miles -transmission maintenance (changed oil and filter) -air filter engine + cabin (carbon) -changed sway bar links -new tires -new brake pads front and read -new rotors front -replaced the engine cover rubber supports -new hoses all around -changed the power steering oil -VW dealer inspection on transmission to make sure everything is fine. -polished headlights as they were getting a bit foggy Entire maintenance cost was more than 2500$ I am the second owner and had it for a bit over three months. I am selling it as I am moving on the other coast. The car has no previous accidents, I live in Texas but the car is still registered in NY with a clean title , with new NY valid until 2013 inspection Sliding sunroof, Sat Radio, leather seats, semi powered driver seat The interior is in absolute mint condition and so it is the exterior. I also professionally installed a curt hitch and light harness a week ago never pulled anything with the car (can see the hitch is new) One month ago I drove this car from NYC to LA and then to TX; I had absolutely no issue getting between 39-43 mpg. I would drive this car anywhere on the continental US without having any thoughts that it would let me down. Being a cars passionate but NOT a mechanic (I am an IT consultant which also explains the high mileage of the car) once I got to LA and changed the oil then once I got to Texas is being changed again as I am posting this so the oil is new (less than 500 miles) and good for 6000 miles more. I also gave the injection system a Diesel Purge treatment before leaving from NYC during the trip and once again when I got to LA and then in TX since then the car purrs like a cat and pulls like a bull. Ignoring the road stone chips and light wheels road rash this the car is in exceptional condition and I can say that this car look better than most 2 year old cars as a matter of fact one of the guys at the NY VW dealers said "darn your car looks new" and he is right ...you'll see! The new owner will need to only know how to drive and maintain it as is no additional cost will be needed for a very long time. I took the car to the mechanic to make sure everything is okay with it. He checked fluids, injection pressure filter all codes and when he got to the glow plugs and glow plug harness he said they might use replacing (160$+labor). Given the small $ amount and that I trust him I chose to listen so we changed all four glow plugs and glow plug harness! The new buyer should have absolutely no problems with this car whatsoever!!!
