1997 BMW 750iL V-12 Engine Bullet Resistant WindowsLow Miles- 118,000 Miles Excellent Condition Up for sale is my BMW 750iL V-12. The 750iL only has 118,000 miles on it which is extremely low for the year. These cars can and will go 300,000 miles before an engine rebuild is necessary. The 750iL color is Oxford Green Metallic. Interior is tan leather. This car has every option that BMW offered, except the navigation system. It even has a built in BMW telephone! In 1997 the 750iL sold new from the BMW for an unbelievable $95,000 dollars!! The engine and transmission are 100% solid on this car, and this car drives extremely smoothly. New brakes front and rear were just installed on the 750iL... less than 50 miles on them. Tires have about 75% tread left ( Michelin Primacy, $175 each). Less than 50 miles on a Mobil 1 Full Synthetic oil and filter change. New radiator expansion tank was just installed on 750iL. Body is 100% rust and dent free on the car... only small minor nicks that are not noticeable. Leather interior is in beautiful condition, as is the rest of the interior. The car has lived it's entire life in the Southern United States.... Nevada and Texas to be specific... so that is the reason the car is 100% rust free and bone dry. This 750iL has been extremely well maintained!!! And garaged ALL of it's life The V-12 engine on this car is VERY powerful and fast. The car will accelerate from 0-60MPH in about 5 seconds, and 0-100MPH in about 10-11 seconds. If you are a timid driver, please do not consider purchasing this car, as it truly is of Super Car caliber, performance wise. When you step on the throttle on this car, you literally will be pushed back into your seat like a fighter jet pilot...no joke. * Car comes with REAMS of service records ( please see photos below). Always serviced at BMW authorized dealers. * Car has a FULL SIZE spare tire with BRAND NEW never touched the ground Michelin tire, mounted on BRAND NEW BMW 750iL factory rim. Please see photo below.*Note: This car was once owned by a world renowned athlete from the state of Texas, who has been in the national news quite a bit lately. I won't mention his name out of respect to his privacy... but I thought it might be of interest to potential bidders.*Here is a general overall synopsis of the car:1. Body is 100% rust and dent free, with only very minor nicks here and there... VERY minor must be emphasized.2. This 750iL has lived it's entire life in the Southern United States ( Primarily Nevada and Texas). This is the kind of car BMW enthusiasts are looking for. You want one from a DRY climate. Don't even consider those cars you see for sale in the Northeast, as they all have some amount of rust in them from the salted roads.3. Car has only 118,000 pampered miles on it, and has ALWAYS been garaged.4. Mobil 1 oil FULL SYNTHETIC ( with Mahle oil filter) change just done 50 miles ago.5. CCV ( Crank Case Ventilation Valve) valve on BOTH sides of the intake manifold just installed.6. New Coolant expansion tank just installed.7. Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires with 70% tread left ( $175.00 EACH)8. Engine runs extremely smooth with tremendous power and always runs cool ( normal operating temperature) as it should.9. Transmission shifts firmly , positively, and flawlessly as it was designed to do.10. Interior is in excellent condition, as can be seen in the photos. NO sun damage from the hot climate it lived in Texas, due to being garaged at all times.11. Suspension is very smooth, and steering is very precise and tight, as it should be.12. ALL gauges work on the car ( gas, temperature, odometer, speedometer,)13. ALL lights and blinkers work on the car ( brake lights, turn signals, high and low beams headlights).14. Windshield wipers work properly.15. Sunroof opens and closes properly as well.16. Radio works great.. although one speaker is a bit distored in the front cabin area. Keep in mind the car has about 10 speakers in it... so the one speaker is not of much consequence.17. Heat and AC both work great, however blower motor needs replacement.18. Front drivers window and front passenger window need new regulator... not very expensive or difficult to install. Passenger rear door needs lock actuator... also a fairly simple repair.19. Under the hood the V-12 engine looks clean enough to eat off of..... the car was maintained to a very high level through it's entire life. When someone pays $95,000 for a new car, it's no surprise that they handle it with kid gloves for a very, very long time. IMPORTANT: Please message me through eBay to request photos of the V-12 engine. I did not have time to shoot the photos of it prior to listing the car for sale. I will shoot photos of it in one day or so from now and send them to anyone who requests them! 20. Leather seats look new in the rear of the car, and not even sat in, as far as I can tell. Drivers and front passenger seats are a 9 out of 10 in condition.... very much near new condition.21. Leather dash is like new... NO cracks or fading of any kind whatsoever.22. CLEAN Carfax showing mileage to be true at 118,000 miles, with NO accidents.23. One last comment.... the photos of this car DON'T do it justice at all... it looks FAR BETTER in person than the photos can relay here. The metallic green paint has to be in just the right light in order to see it sparkle like an emerald.... and it's very hard for an amatuer photographer like myself to capture fully. Also, I am a BMW enthusiast, and I own 2 BMW's currently, this 1997 750iL, and a 1997 BMW 740iL. I am also an ASE certified automotive technician. I take expert care of my vehicles, and this car is no exception. I would rate the car at a 9 out of 10 in overall mechanical condition... needing nothing currently to jump in the car and drive across the country. Please keep in mind that modern automobiles contain literally multi-thousands of individual parts. Neither I as an automotive technician, nor anyone else, (short of God himself), can possibly know the status of every single one of these parts at any given time. But suffice it to say that the car is more than fit to drive long distances and even be used as a commuter car if the need arises. Keep in mind that ALL vehicles need regular maintenance to keep them in perfect running order.... so please don't expect to buy this car ( or ANY other car for that matter), and think you'll never have to attend to any issues with the car for years after you purchase it. That's simply not logical. Highly illogical, as Mr. Spock from Star Trek would say. :)On pricing: My reserve is FAIR... but not low. This car origianlly sold for $95,000 in 1997. I feel the car is about 80-90% as good as it was when it was sold new. Therefore I have no intentions of "giving it away". That being said, I am not asking 80-90% of what it sold for in 1997. If I was, that would be about $70,000 dollars! In actuality... the reserve is far more than fair. It's actually a complete bargain in exchange for what kind of vehicle you will be getting. This car is absoutely exhilarating to drive. The V-12 will kick you in the seat of the pants every time you get into the throttle... that alone is worth the price of admission! :)I have done my very best to describe the car in all areas. If you still have questions that you feel have not been answered in the information above, please feel free to contact me via eBay messages, and I will do my best to answer your questions.
