very rare 1964 ford fairlane '' sports coupe" this is a 1964 fairlane that is an all numbers matching car! car is equipped with the rare 289 ''SPECIAL'' engine with a factory 4 spd tranny! the car is also a factory bucket seat with floor console car, the interior is all original down to the radio and the steering wheel. i do have the ignition key, last time car was licensed was 1977. the motor is the original 289 ''SPECIAL" that is all original and untouched! the motor IS stuck! the 289 emblems on the body are gold, it is also epuipped with factory power steering. engine compartment is complete. tranny is the factory 4 spd, i believe its a toploader. the shifter is the original 1 with the reverse lockout lever. the rear end is a 3.25 to 1 gear ratio. the body is VERY restorable! the drivers front fender has a spot rusted through towards the bottom, the drivers rockers has a spot that is rusted through, and the drivers quarter is rusted through behind the wheel. all which is repairable. the drivers door is good along with the door jamb! bothfront and rear window jambs are solid. the pass. front fender has a spot rusted through towards the bottom also, the pass rocker is solid along with the pass door. the rear quarter is rusted behind the wheel and a lil above the wheel. the pass door jamb is also solid. the trunk pan looks good, but does need trunk extensions. the car also needs floor pans and the right rear frame rail, the back half is bad. the leaf springs are bad but the leaf mounts look good! the glass has no cracks! the brakes are locked up, car is very restorable but needs work! or would make an awesome parts car for a rust free body!
