A Harley Earl design indtroduced on the occasion of Buick's fiftieth anniversary, the Super featured Buick's V-8 engine and the first 12-volt electrical system. It was also the very last of the American "woody" station wagons, with real wood used on the sides of the car. Together, these features make this car one of the most desirable of it's kind. Features include a dynaflow automatic tranmission, wire wheels, and 4 wheel hydraulic drum brakes. There is a coil sprint front and rear suspension, and a commercial firewall mounted 12V battery cutoff switch. It has power steering, selectronic radio and white wall tires. The 322 cubic inch "Nail Head" V-8 put out an ample 170 horsepower. The car's enormous verticle tooth grille and sweeping body stype were signature Earl styling. The ample use of chrome alogn with the famous body side portholes were a hallmark of the period's upscale Buick. This vehicle is a numbers matching example, with all original engine & suspension parts. There is no rust to be found on this vehicle and the engine is in running condition.
