We have completely restored this beautiful 1964 1/2 Mustang and kept it completely original along with the factory installed 260 V-8 engine and transmission. All of the following was done during the restoration: The engine was removed and completely disassembled and professionally rebuilt and repainted the correct colors, The Automatic transmission was also completely rebuilt and clear coated, torque converter was replaced, all hoses were replaced with FOMOCO parts, new FOMOCO radiator was installed, rebuilt the original generator and replaced voltage regulator, everything that could have been replaced was replaced mechanically!! The engine and trans. run absolutely perfect! All needed power steering components were replaced as well as brake parts, the entire body was professionally redone with NO BONDO!! All rusted areas were cut out and new metal was welded in, the red paint on this beauty shines like no other! All of the body lines are perfect as well, the Interior was completely removed and all seats were recovered, all carpets were replaced, all of the seat belts, door panels, door knobs and handles were replaced, dash pad was replaced, gauge cluster and ALL knobs, controls, and handles were replaced, metal of interior doors and metal dash were completely stripped and painted white and a new windshield was installed. This car is as close to perfect as one can get, here are the following codes for this car: Body=76A Code=D Trim=46 and the date code is 17G. Please look at the pictures and you will see this is an extremely nice car that has won many shows and best of show since being restored approx.1.5 years ago. The car has only 3xx miles on it since being restored. We have WAY too many pictures of the restoration as it was being done to post but if you are serious about the car I am more than happy to send them to you. The only thing we have not done to day is install a new convertible white top. Since the car has been in a climate control garage and only taken out for shows we just never got around to putting a top on. All the frame work is there and the power top does work.
