Vehicle Detail
Bought this car in 1991. It has a newly rebuilt engine $3800.00 and transmission $1400.00. Only a few hundred miles on them when the turbo cartridge went out. This would be a good one to restore or rally. These are collectors items now and are raced on the circuit. Turbo cartridge will have to be replaced. A generic turbo is $248.00 here on ebay. Many specialty high boost turbo kits are available that push this engine to 250hp and up. Of course they cost more. The car had factory air but it is not working and will need a tail light. Will need to replace at least one of the front fog lights. Roll out sunroof works. Seating is decent but faded. It has the deep bucket factory rally racing seats with all the adjustments. Spoiler on back is in good shape. Wheels are the original factory aluminum, although at least one of the little center caps is missing. Interior really isn't bad. This car is not ready to run and will need work. I doubt that you could drive it without fixing the turbo although, it's probably possible. I drove it home like that but can't imagine taking a chance on any substantial trip. It would be better to tow it. The expensive items are done and you could have a unique hot little car without a lot of money tied up. I'm just too old now to be fixing any more cars up.
