1968 Chevrolet Corvette T-top Coupe an original (3) owner Illinois car since new. This car is a true survivor with about 80+percent original paint on a (no hit) body. It is also a matching numbers motor and driveline. The car only has 43,361 miles of which the last owner (titled in 1995 drove the car less than 3000 miles in 17 years. It has always been stored in a heated,dry storage and never driven except to shows or parade functions rarely. It is a 327 C.I. 300 Horesepower engine and Turbo-Hyro 400 transmission, Factory (Ice-Cold functioning A/C, Telescopic Steering Column,Speed Warning indicator are just a few of the options. I have the Fuel Tank Sticker,but no other paperwork, such as Bill of sale(new) or window sticker. The car has always been in Illinois since new and 2 0f 3 owners being from Rochelle,Ill.All of the interior, seats,door panels,carpeting,dashand console including weatherstripping are original,not aftermarket and in excellant overall condition as the pictures show. Everything gauge wise works properly, except for the clock.I DO NOT have the original AM/FM Radio for the car. It has an aftermarket cassette player radio in the non-cut dash. The fuel tank has been replaced as well, and also has stainless steel brake calipers installed. It has the original engine shielding in place however, the original valve covers,air cleaner,intake manifold and carb have been long gone and replaced as you can see in photos. This car drives like a 40,000 mile car should. Very tight,no rattles,wondering,looseness etc. I have had many people comment on how nice the car looks, but wish it had better paint up close. Lets face it, you can take any old car and paint the body and make it look better, but how many 43 years old cars look this good and have never been played with. ORIGINAL IS JUST THAT, ORIGINAL. The value is in originality. Take a look on E-bay or anywhere else and see what $20,000 buys you in a muscle car era vehicle. NOT MUCH.Let alone a Corvette!!!!This will only increase in value with time and you can drive your investment around at the same time. I would drive this car to California tommorrow if need be.
