It has been shown multiple times at The Pebble Beach Concours, receiving First In Class in 1971 and also in 1976. This is a two owner car since new. Documented ownership. The last owner purchased the car in 1957! (A past president of the MG Club Bay Area region.) A black plate California car. The owner had an aircraft and enginerring background which is evident in this cars condition and the care it received. Original color and motor. Engine number XPAG 4273. Features include: - XPAG 1,250 cc OHV inline four-cylinder engine - SU carburetor - four-speed manual gearbox - rigid front and rear axles with semi-elliptic leaf springs - four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes - Wheelbase: 94" - 12 Volt optima battery with cut off In storage from 1995 to 2007. The car has a rebuilt engine with its orginal air filters and carburators. Spin off oil filters. The motor is equiped with Chromard cylinder sleeves. Orignally marketed by Sydney Allard in England back in the fourties. The crankshaft is NOS with standard bearing dimensions. The cylinder head has 36mm intake valves with stock exhaust valves. Both rear axle half-shafts have been replaced with new heat treated axles. Origial wire wheels are respoked, balanced and painted. Not the typical chrome replacements. Coker 3 lug Dunlop tires. New Alfin Brakes recently serviced. The interior shows very well. Leather seats. All guages work. The clock recently decided to stop. Banjo steering wheel, tonneau cover, Nerf bars. The car has been recently serviced. A rebuilt starter and a new freeze plug were installed at this time.
