1932 Dodge Brothers DL6 4-door Sedan, careful restoration, 35 years in the same family Listing for some friends of mine who are not Ebayers.... More pics here than Ebay will let me post! http://kwc.smugmug.com/Other/32-Dodge-Brothers/24552290_xVFjvC And here's a short vid of it running down the road at about 45 mph: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ppt9CZhzxh8 car has been continually running and in use in parades etc since the early 1980s and was bought as a runner in 1978 great care was taken to keep the restoration correct and no expense was spared over the years I was told the only parts that had to be manufactured were the exterior door handle bases and two dash knobs body-off refurbishment done three years ago with frame blasted and painted and coachwork repainted during this 2009 work, all chrome was sent in for replating (bumpers, trim, hubcaps, grille, headlights etc) Firestone reproduction tires are all new as well, rims are painted metal spoke type with authentic Dodge Brothers hubcaps colors used are as close to original as possible and are Ford Maroon and Tuscan Tan, interior is English Broadcloth tan includes an enormous packet of receipts, parts contacts, parts catalogs and master part list, as well as photos from restoration also includes an ORIGINAL owner's manual from 1933 (wow!) flathead six engine starts readily and idles smoothly, no smoke on startup engine compartment clean and with well loomed wires, hoses etc, no leaks that I could see, rad appears original interior very plush and well executed with original trim pieces, ashtrays, door handles, dome lights, pedal the driver's and passenger kick panels will have to be reproduced as they were LOST by the body shop! dash gauges also appear to be original although I am not an expert exterior chrome is stunning as is the smoothness of the coachwork and the quality of the paint underside shows no rust, glossy paint on suspension and frame, solid exhaust and seemingly perfect fuel tank roof is expertly done with no leaks or flaws doors close and latch as beautifully as 3 year old Honda interior heater is functional as are rear wind-down windows and exterior air vents in front of the windshield windscreen folds forward and props open for cooling custom made (and matching) aluminum luggage trunk (for weekend trips in the car, car show travel etc). horn currently inoperative clean Illinois title in hand (title is a recent re-issue due to the car passing from a deceased person to his wife) VIN on the title is DL61785, the number 3565660 is on a plate on on the coachwork All in all a stunning original car that showcases the care and attention to detail of its owners. Show ready and parade ready!
