Vehicle Detail
1991 Chevy Silverado 3500 Crew Cab dually 4x4 in excellent condition. Paint is very shiny and in amazing condition with nice straight, dent free panels. Matching Glasstite fiberglass cap/topper wih interior light in great shape. Even the dually fiberglass fenders have no cracks. Last year of this "boxy" body style and the ONLY year this bodystyle came with the heavy duty 4L80E overdrive transmsiion, so you can get at least somewhat respectable mileage! This is a west coast truck that lived it's whole life there until it came here just a few months ago.... so it does not now, nor ever had any rust. It has 96,000+ original miles and runs and drives perfect. Comes loaded with nearly every option available that year like 454 fuel injected motor (also the only year this body style came with the cool factory "454" aluminum valve covers), Silverado package, automatic w/overdrive, p/windows and locks, cruise, tilt, front tow hooks, AC (does not appear to be converted to R134 yet and does not currently blow cold), dual fuel tanks, heavy duty towing package, trans cooler, engine oil cooler, am/fm cassette 4 speaker steareo radio, engine black heater....see scan of RPO option label for a complete list of everything. All options function properly, except AC as mentioned. This rig was built to haul, but does not appear to have done much of it. It has a standared 2" reese receiver, fifth wheel rails in the bed and a pop-up gooseneck hitch as well, but both look hardly used or even used at all (with the fiberglass cap on, of course neither the fifth wheel nor gooseneck could have been used and the cap looks to have been there for quite a while). Has both 6 and 7 point wiring connections in the rear bumper and also a 7 point wiring connection in the bed. There is a large matching water tight tool box mounted in the bed, as well as an extra fuel tank, also painted to match. Has a trailer brake controller. There are auxilliary back up lights that operate from a switch on the dash. Diamond plate running boards in great shape and surprisingly every one of the running lights on the truck work! I have the heavy duty spare tire support from under the truck...it is just not shown in the pictures. There is no spare tire, however. Truck has a nice custom organizer behind the rear seat and there is a grille screen and grille blanket there that can snap in place, if needed. Carpets are in great shape. Rear seat looks to have been hardly used. Front seat upholstery is nice on drivers side, except there is an area on the passenger side that will need some repair. Headliner is good, all door panels are nice. Dashpad has a few cracks. The metal insert on the front drivers door is there, but starting to separate. has the factory original GM front floor mats. Undercarriage is in amazing condition, as you would execpt from a west coast truck...just some dust, but no rot or scaley rust. Original undercarraige paint in tact in most places. Door jams are like new. Doors seams all perfect...no rust. Bed is dent and rust free and just has a few scratches and scrapes...obviously never used as a work truck. Did I mention this truck has no rust!?!? I have onwned 4 of these over the last several years and this one is the nicest and with the low mileage, it is just incredible how nice it really is...never abused. Brakes seem good and stops straight. Tires have 80% or better tread and in great shape. Chrome wheel simulators in nice shape. Starts right up with no smoke, shifts between gears with no clunks. Please ask any questions you may have on this beautiful truck. As nice as this is, please keep in mind it is 21 years old, so it is not perfect, if that is what you are looking for. If you are the winning bidder, I am sure you will not be disappointed! Thanks for looking! On Oct-23-12 at 12:15:59 PDT, seller added the following information: I just noticed that there is a small hole (approx 1/2" x 2") on the passenger side inner fender just below the battery tray...probably a slow battery acid leak at one time. I apologize for missing that orginally...if anyone wants to retract their bid because of that, I will understand, but it is very minor and hardly noticable unless you were looking for it.
