Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1966 Ford Mustang hardtop coupe. The car has the original 200 ci six cylinder mated to a C4 auto, which runs and shifts nicely. I’ve just signed a contract to build a house and want to use the money for upgrades and appliances for the house. I hate to sell, but my house is more important than a pleasure car right now. The car has been basically completely restored and sealed so it will last a long time and painted with windveil blue metallic basecoat clearcoat. The bodywork and paint were done by myself and I have over two hundred photos detailing the work involved. The paint is nice, but it is not a how quality job. I built this car to be driver and not a trailer queen. A local speed shop did work I was not able to do and I have all invoices for this and parts that were purchased for the car. In addition to the restoration and body work the car has the following items new and/or upgraded: front power disc brakes with dual reservoir master cylinder and power booster, brake lines, Unisteer power rack and pinion, Ididit tilt steering column, American Autowire wiring harness with new ignition and headlight switches, 100 amp alternator, three point retractable seat belts up front, LED taillights, new front springs that also drop the front of the car to give it that mean stance, KYB gas-adjust shocks all around, leaf springs in rear, fuel pump, air filter (will also come with a new K&N filter), open air filter assembly, rebuilt Holley 1 bbl carb, new pcv valve, new distributor, distributor cap, rotor, ignition coil and wires with iridium plugs, pertronix electronic ignition, grant steering wheel, hood scoop, battery, modern radio that mimics the old style so the dash isn’t cut, it also has speakers in the back, pony interior with new seat cushions up front, new door panels and armrests, new chrome pieces inside, new seat belts in the back, new weather stripping, new wheel covers with Toyo Proxes TPT tires, billet grille, wood grain instrument panel and matching glovebox, racing stripes, emblems, sound deadener underneath the carpet, gas tank, mirrors inside and out. I may be forgetting something but this car really doesn’t need anything to get out there to cruise and enjoy. The bumpers and most of the chrome trim are good as well. This car is an excellent cruiser, and you won’t have to break the bank to pay for gas to enjoy it. A great candidate for a V8 swap as well. The car also is also undercoated on the bottom. If there any questions or if you would like more pics of certain things, feel free to contact me. The car has a clear DE title and is currently registered and insured. Well, what’s wrong with it? It does have some problems being a 46 year old car. The only body work not done is the passenger rear frame rail that needs to be patched. It isn’t bad, and you can see it in the pictures. The driver side was not completely rusted out and a fiberglass patch was used to fix it. Included with the car will be two frame rail pieces that can be welded in, but it is solid enough you’d really only need a small patch to fix it. The oil pressure gauge is brand new but it is not hooked up. The shifter console light is also not hooked up so it presently doesn’t work. If you have electrical skills or know someone who does these wouldn’t be hard to fix. If you have any questions, or would like to see more pics of the work done feel free to ask. Car is for sale locally and I reserve to end the auction without notice if the reserve is not yet met. $500 deposit required within 48 hours of the end of the auction. Remainder of funds due within 7 days. Shipping to be arranged for by the winner of the auction if needed - you can drive the car anywhere. Deposits are non-refundable, so please do not waste my time or yours if you don’t have the funds to complete the whole transaction.
