Vehicle Detail
This 1969 Camaro is 100% rust free and solid as a rock This 1969 Camaro is in the condition of a car that is 5 years old. It has been in dry storage for many years. This Camaro has been a show car all its life and pampered. In fact is was a “Street Machine Nationals” winner back in the early 90’s and appeared in a Super Chevy magazine from that period. The car was taken apart to be brought to the next level. All the body seems where welded and the rain gutters removed as well as the marker lamps. The idea was to smooth the body lines of clutter. Also the quarter panels and they are the originals where stretched to clear the oversized tires. All of this was professionally done with NO brazing or warpage on any of the panels. The rear wheels are 15 x 14 Weld billets with Mickey Thompson tires and with matching 15 x 6 Weld billet fronts. The Cragar Super tricks on car will not go with the car. There is only one front tire as shown because the other one is lost. Two front tires will be supplied and mounted on the Weld wheels when the car is sold. The rear is a Ford 9 inch with Strange axles. The center section is nodular iron with a spool and 4:56 gears (not pictured). Rear ladder bars and aluminum coil over shocks. Rear frame is tied to sub frame with frame connectors that are welded in. The rear end work was done in a way to retain much of the original rear flooring as shown. Again all this was professionally done and is not a back hack as you see on other cars. The original fuel tank was modified to fit in the re-arranged rear chassis. The rear seat was also modified so it will fit back in the car even with the roll cage. This car came with factory console gauges and dash tach. There was a small block in this prior with a turbo 400 transmission. There is no dash pad or front and rear glass and of course no motor or transmission. Door and quarter glass is there. All the trim shown in photos goes with the car. I cannot stress enough the overall condition of this car. Rust free examples such as this are a rare find and the West Coast barn finds are running dry. Again every body panel is original to the car and rust free even the sub frame is smooth and un-pitted. My buddy Tommy who owns this car has too many projects going on and has decided to let this one go. Call with any questions at 631 587 0048 Super Pro Performance during the day. On Oct-17-12 at 17:40:29 PDT, seller added the following information: Why buy a rust bucket project car that needs all the body panels and floors and years of your life plus all your money. This is an easy one to get on the road and all the hard work is done. Finish up the body paint and assemble and off to the shows and hot rod hang outs or drag strip.
