Vehicle Detail
Hello all CT lovers. What I have here is a very nice example of a 1971 Honda CT70H 4 speed in the rare candy blue green color. The vin# is CT70H114041 engine # is CT70HE113786. The build date is 6-1970. The odometer currently reads 1663 miles but this could change minutely by the end of the auction but not by more than 2 miles. This CT is street legal and currently registered in the state of California. I have the pink slip in hand so no DMV hassles. This CT is about 98% original down to the tires and cables with the following exceptions. It has a newer sealed battery, the decals on the upper frame have been replaced, newer OEM grips installed and it has an after market seat cover. I also repainted the chain guard with a very nice close matching color and touched up some of the chips and scratches with a touchup pen. As most of you know its very hard to match a paint thats nearly 43 years old but this color looks very nice as the pictures will show. In some of the pictures it looks like the decal is coming off by the trail 70, but it's just a shadow and the paint is fine. Other then the above mentioned as far as I can tell the bike is completely stock. Now about the mechanical condition of the bike. She usually starts right up on the first kick but sometimes it does take 2 or 3. She does not smoke drives straight with lots of power for a 70cc and shifts very nice through all the gears. All the lights and horn work. The black cap on the high low switch came off and it still works. I will be including a new Honda OEM switch with the purchase . About the paint, besides the usual chips and scratches you would expect after all these years it still looks and shines very nice better then most I have seen. The headlight bucket does have a crack where the bolt goes into it but does not appear to affect the integrity of it at all. This is very common on these bikes. About the chrome it is still in very nice shape but does also have some of minor defects you would expect from a bike of this age. Their's practically no rust on this bike and she really is a nice one. I am very particular about my motorcycles, thus why I try to have such a detailed description when I sell them. I do reserve the right to end the sale early since I have it listed for sale locally. On the other hand if you live locally and would like to take a look or inspect the bike feel free to contact me. I feel I've done my very best to describe this bike, but if their's any questions I might be able to answer in regard to it please let me know. Remember this is not a new bike or a restored bike just a real nice CT70H looking for a new home. Deposit of $500 is required via Pay Pal within 24 hours of auction.Final payment is to be made with cash if in person or cashiers check from a major bank if by mail. If you wish to pay the entire balance by PayPal I will allow you to do so if you pay their service fee on the amount over my $500 deposit. The bike will not be released until all funds have cleared. Buyer is responsible for all shipping cost and fees. Will only ship to the continental U.S 48 states only.I will assist in the pickup of the motorcycle from my residence. This motorcycle is being sold AS-IS with no warranty.
