I am listing this very rare project truck for my father. If you have any questions that are not answered through this auction, please email me with your contact information and I will have him contact you in the evening or on the weekend. 1937 Plymouth PT50 1/2 Ton Pickup with the short bed and is 2wd. This is a project truck that needs total restoration. This truck is extremely rare especially with the overall condition and how complete it is. For the photos, the major body panels were temporarily bolted on. My father is the third registered owner of the truck and the last owner had it in California for the last 37 years. This truck as around 32k original miles, the windshield rolls out and has the cowl vent. The only rust that seems to need fixed is at the front fenders where they meet the cowl. New patch panels are included to repair this. Since the truck had an out of state title, the Idaho State Transportation Department had to come to the house and perform a VIN inspection. Since the old trucks VIN numbers were located on the engines, the State of Idaho used the cowl numbers for the title and placed a temporary brand on the title as it is a builder or project truck. This was to their policy and had nothing to do with the condition of the truck other than it being so old and a project. This brand expires in Idaho on 09/26/14 and a clear title can be obtained by the current owner after this date. This truck is all original except for the engine (1974 Plymouth 360) and the 727 automatic transmission. The engine turns over as it should and seems to have good compression. It has not been run in this truck yet. The rear end is stock. The steering setup is all new and installed. It is based off a 1986 Ford Thunderbird rack and pinion. It also has Flaming River linkage. Sanderson ceramic coated headers are new and mocked up on the engine as well as a new flex fan. He also lowered the entire truck approximately 6" to give it the awesome stance. The smoothie wheels with baby moons and tires are brand new! Any and all parts that he has for this truck will be included in the auction. This truck is 98% complete and very rare. It is an excellent builder needing little rust repair. There are very few parts to track down and most of what you would want is already included in the auction. If you are from another state other than Idaho, please check with you state's department of motor vehicles and ask them about Idaho's Conditional Titles and see how they process them or title them. As mentioned in this ad, Idaho put a temporary or condition title on this vehicle for 3 years as a project vehicle and we want to make sure anyone who purchases this truck won't have any issues in their prespective state.
