REDUCED AND RELISTED Ok- Here is the deal- this has been a great car for me for a while now, it is in in great drivable shape, it is a 2+2, but don't put a large adult in the back seat. I have put about 6K$ in engine work into it in the last year plus a whole lot of little things that have a tendency to go out on a 25 year old car. It is a good way to get into a Porsche. This is the "S" model there were only 2 model years made, 87 and 88. It has a wider set of ratios in the transmission and a beefier transmission than the standard 944 (which was around 140 horses give or take) and this runs about 180 horses or so. The turbo model was around 250 horses and is a completely different beast. Most parts are the same and are readily available from partsgeek, pelican or vertex auto. I have a brand new windshield and CAT that will be coming with the car- that is about 600$ extra in parts- I found on EBAY last year and the glass is getting progressively harder to find. I know this is a little pricier than other 944's on EBAY but you will be getting an engine with a brand new rebuild and clutch. This is a huge savings. I am selling the car because I bought a new Miata. I wanted airbags and a convertible car and didn't want a boxster, otherwise I would be keeping it. Plus my wife told me I can't have three cars. Engine rebuilt in 2011, 3K miles on it since rebuild, no oil leaks, Clutch, throwout bearing and pressure plate replaced at time of rebuild, shocks/struts 4 years old, AC compressor is new and runs 134a with ester oil, AC works; cold air. My professional life has dictated that I no longer have time to fiddle with a 25 year old car. Mechanically she is essentially new, so I rate the power train A+. I have always meant to get to the paint and interior, but I grade it as a C+. The front air dam is aftermarket fiberglass and needs repair or replace. It had been my intention to take it to the local fiberglass shop and have it chopped an inch or two (Arkansas roads.. go figure). This has been my intermittent daily driver for about 6 years now. Garage kept and slowly upgraded and repaired. The interior seats have some splits in them which is why I have the seat covers in place. It is a pain to get them off so I do not have a photo. Final check out and tuning after engine rebuild was done by Perfection Plus in Little Rock this year. Payment due within 14 days of auction completion. 500$ deposit due at time of sale.
