Vehicle Detail
This will make a nice driver as it currently sits, with some brake and front end service required. Seats are very firm, and lack of door hinge pin sag, and minimal wear on the brake pedal help support the low mileage claim of 56,900. We have no paper proof, but it seems to make sense. The car, along with a 12 cyl. Jaguar were donated to our church by one generous family. Since we received it for nothing, we will gladly sell it to the highest bidder, even if reserve isn't met. Feel free to send an inspector to look it over, jack it up and test drive it. We want you clear on what you are getting. Our inspector's test drive video indicates that it runs very well, does not smoke or knock when started, but has some front end shimmy and brake pull. The front calipers look newer, and the exhaust looks replaced, as the front resonators are clean, and the system is quiet. Inside, some of the gages are not working, but the oil pressure gage is working, and reads 60% on the gage. It's sat and idled for over an hour, and does not seem to have any overheating issues. It's an unrestored under-body, that's mostly solid, but has some rust behind the right front tire splash area. this spot is about 8 inches long, and looks like a hoist lift pad crushed it up a half inch or so. It looks like it's been there a long time, and does not seem to affect the integrity of the car. Doors open fine. It is easily accessible to repair, if the buyer was concerned. The exterior re-paint looks close to the original color in the jambs, which are all original. There's several chips, nicks and general wear. There's some filler detected in the rear 1/4's, but a magnet sticks pretty good on most of the car. The door corners are visually solid where the skins wrap the door shell. It's a great body style with the "slight hump" continental kit. The leather has some cracks, but it still feels good. There's a silver trim piece missing on the left door panel, down low. It was likely taken off to service the power windows, which don't seem to work all the time. All the exterior lights seem to work, except the license plate, and the low beam on the right.
