I have a 1948 Willys Jeepster Overland with a 4 cylinder gasoline engine and a 3 speed on the column. I have only owned this vehicle for a short period of time and can only relay the information that previous owner gave me. We bought the car for local shows, parades, and to haul to the beach to cruise but time has not permited. It has sit in the garage and we have only drove it around the block twice. The car seems to be pretty mechanically sound for its age. The previous owner said the engine had been overhauled and had very low mileage. He also said the brake system had been replaced and a new exhaust sytem. The car could be drove as is or restored to be a showroom peice. The body is in fair shape with some rust coming thru and some chipping in the paint as you can see in pictures. The interior is also in fair condion but could use some attention.The engine has a minor oil leak. The car is in great shape for its age and is not a showroom car but would be a great car that you can begin enjoying as soon as you buy it. I do have the heater, and some misc. interior parts such as visors. The convertiable top frame is still on the car and I have a new top that will need to be installed. The original side windows and curtains are in the back of the car and will need some attention but are not in terriable shape. I was not to concerned about these for my intended use for the car and keeping it in the garage.
