Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE 1964 Chevrolet nova sport coupe w/406 sbc and turbo 350 I have up for sale at this time a very nice 1964 nova sport coupe. It has a very beefy 406 sbc with matched aluminum heads and intake and cam putting out roughly 425 hp and it is backed by a rebuilt turbo 350 witch makes this little car scoot down the road pretty well. But let me give you a little more info about the car before I get into the drive train. This car was purchased new at Kenyon Peck Inc in Arlington Va on May 5th 1964(I have the original sales contract) to a woman that traded in a 58 chevy on the car and it was paid off on may 10 1966 ( I also have that receipt too). This car was originally orderd with a six cylinder and a two-speed auto trans so it was just your basic nova but still a nice car for its day. Now jump 20 or so years into the future and the car is passed on to her son and the car is totally original like the day that it was purchased but it needed paint and the motor was tired and it was just an old tired car but he changed all that. He had it painted the color red that is on it now and that is actually a mopar color of red ( I have the paint can label that was used for the repaint it is poppy red). So after the paint was done he took off the original 13” tires and replaced them with 14” tires and I have since replaced the wheels and tires with Cragar 5 spoke wheels and rwl tires. He had just a mild sbc installed in the car with the two-speed and called it good and that is the way that I bought it. Now jump ahead a couple more years and this car really comes to life. A built 406 estimated at 425-450 horse (that I have all the receipts for and they will go with the car to the new owner) and they total $6296.75 in just parts not the labor. The heads and intake are Edelbrock Perfomer aluminum with a matched cam for totall performance with a 750 cfm carb sitting on top. And a rebuilt turbo 350 trans was installed in the car to make it more driver friendly. The body on this car is clean both top and bottom and it still retains all factory sheet metal from the floors to the body. The car drives really nice as it goes down the road with no shimmys or shakes it is a very solid car. The brakes although they are drum they were converted to power brakes and they stop on a dime .The steering is manual but this car is light and small so it is not bad to drive at all. Also I might add that any and all paper work associated with this car will go to the new owner such as motor receipts, owner protection plan booklet made out to the original owner, owners manual and some other things I have for it. I am trying to keep this short so if there are any questions about the car you can reach me by phone at 231-206-5258 and my name is Kirk and I will try to answer any and all questions. Thanks Kirk
