Vehicle Detail
This is a real 70 442 W-30. it is NOT a numbers matching car and i do not have the broadcast card. It sit since 1986. I have a document from 1984 when it was bought with 115,243 miles. i have another document from 1986 with 118,000 miles when it was bought by the guy i got it from. I got it in May of this year with 118,500 miles. This car was originally Reef Turquoise with Pearl interior. It was painted sometime before 1980 because there is a 1980 NHRA decal on top of the paint.I don't have documents to prove it is a Real W-30, the only thing i can say is that this car had a W-27 rear end in it that i pulled out. it is a SV code with the correct dates to match the car. this was an A/C car converted to a heater so the SV code W-27 would VERY likely been original to the car. The W-27 were only available in a W-30 in the 442 line. i took the W-27 out and installed a TM code 3.42 posi W-30 rear end. This car has a Rally pack, red inner fenders, sport mirrors, vinyl top car, rear sway bar/box arms, Reef turquoise/pearl interior, original GM OAI hood, OAI cleaner is missing the flapper door but the tabs are good for it. pearl interior is in driver condition. manual steering and brakes. was an A/C car but someone took it out and installed a heater box. disc brakes, console is in good condition and the hings area is not broken. i changed the gas tank, the original had 3 pin holes. also changed the back bumper with a driver quality original. the trunk lid has some rust, i have a very nice rust free lid i can offer to the buyer at an additional price. floor/trunk pans are very solid. the right front fender will likely need replaced to restore the car. other than the right front fender, i found no filler in this car. there is some rust above the front and back glass but the A and B pillars are good. see pictures on photobucket. i have a better front bumper that is included with this car but it is only driver quality. dash has never been cut for an aftermarket radio. after i got it running it had a lifter that went bad. i pulled the intake and found the bad lifter and found the cam was scuffed a little. i installed a new JM 22 25 10 cam and lifters with a new edelbrock roller timing chain. this is a 74 455 engine with J heads and headers. TH 400 transmission. runs very well and strong, shifts and kicks down like it should. the limited slip rear end works good also. it drives smooth and straight but the steering wheel is turned a little. I have a thread on this car on classicoldsmobile.com feel free to look at it, i have nothing to hide on this car. i also posted over 80 pictures of it on photobucket. http://s654.photobucket.com/albums/uu268/jensenracing77/RED%20W-30/ http://classicoldsmobile.com/forums/major-builds-projects/53350-70-w-30-project.html THE W-27 IS NOT PART OF THIS AUCTION AND IS NOT FOR SALEOn Oct-12-12 at 18:26:05 PDT, seller added the following information: I was asked about shipping. Shipping or pick up is your responsibility. I do offer to deliver up to 300 miles for a fee of $1.50 per mile one way. this would be no more than 300 miles from Brazil Indiana, 47834. The car will have to be paid in full before i deliver it.
