The car was delivered new to Newport Beach, CA, where it spent a majority of its life before being sold to the original owner’s family friend in 2000, necessitating a move to Nevada. Always garaged and professionally maintained, the care that its two owners have shown is evident in its fantastic condition. It was always used sparingly and has consequently only racked up 44,500 original miles. The paint and body are exceptional, free of any dings, scratches or otherwise noticeable blemishes. The car has never been in any accidents and panel fit and gaps are factory original. All of the glass, chrome and rubber and in excellent condition, as are both the soft and hard tops. The car’s interior is literally flawless, the seats, carpets and interior panels showing only negligible wear. The interior wood inserts and the dash itself are both free of cracks (which is uncommon) and the headliners of both tops are flawless. The engine bay and undercarriage are clean and original, showing no evidence of rust or rust repair. The car starts easily, pulls strongly and smoothly through each of its gears and is a joy to drive. These cars are the very last Mercedes models that will ever be truly considered classics and that’s evident in the drive quality.
