One of only 1806 originally imported into the United States, this rare 190 SL is in beautiful shape. While its no show winner, this car would be the perfect car for an every day warm weather driver. The paint was applied several years ago and has held up nicely. There are a few blemishes that can be seen under close inspection. The body underneath is in very good shape. There is no rust whatsoever and no repairs have been made to the metal. An inspection of the frame, floor pans, and rockers will reveal that there is no rust to be found. The included hard top is also in good shape, with no damage to the paint or glass. The soft top is in good shape, showing no signs of wear or any tears. The seats and carpet are in even better shape - showing virtually no signs of wear. The mechanics are in good shape too. The engine starts and runs well every time, even in cold weather without smoking. There is a minor exhaust rattle, but aside from that all parts are in good condition. The manual transmission is stiff, but still shifts well. The clutch too is in good shape. All fluids have been checked and replaced as necessary. Anyone who follows these cars knows that, perfectly restored, they are going for 100K plus at auction.
