This is a very nice El Camino that I purchased about 6 months. My 20 year old college son used the car this past summer. My son loves the car, however according to him "it uses to much gas", well it is by the way, a V8….. He's now back at school, so he doesn't need a car again until he comes back home next summer. Every time I rode with him he would drive very slowly to conserve gas, which he had to pay for from his summer job. My son is a very good driver that does not "hot rod" around, since he had to pay for the maintenance and the fuel. According to the previous owner, a gentlemen in San Diego, Ca., this car has a fairly new 305 crate engine, which now has about 35,000 miles on it. Transmission shifts smoothly, tires are in good condition with plenty of tread left on them. To my knowledge, this car has not been modified, it is completely stock. Car has air conditioning that works well, adjustable steering column, the original am/fm tape deck radio, power steering, power brakes and the clock even works. All the gauges work properly. A new headliner was installed. Locking device will be included with the car. The body is in very good condition with the normal nicks from driving. The car comes complete with a tonneau cover, which could use a re-spray. Interior is in good shape. Carpet on the drivers side has a hole in it and at some point you may want to replace it. With the floor mats, it is not visible. The previous owner installed a very expensive dual exhaust system, which has a very nice rumble to it. The engine light sensor was on, so I just had that replaced. This car is ready to be enjoyed by the next owner. This is not a car you will have to dump a bunch of money into, it is ready to go.
