Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1973 Dodge Dart. Vehicle has a grey exterior and black interior. 318 V8, auto, 8 3/4 rear end. I believe it has a 3.73 gear ratio. The exterior of the car is in good shape and the body is solid. I had a new windshield installed. The car was origionally blue but was repainted prior to me purchasing it. It is a decent job. The jams and under trunk lid have were included in the paint job. The vinyl roof is in great condition. There are two small dings is the left rear quarter panel that are quarter sized and a small dent in the hood. All are easy repairs. The lower rear quarters have had some work done, but appears to be a good job. The upper trim on the windshield is missing as well as the left rear vinyl roof trim and lower rear window trim. I do have extra trim that goes with the car and I believe the rear trim is included. Mechanically the car runs great. It has new BFG tires, a new radiator, radiator hoses, dual exhaust, edelbrock intake and 600 cfm four barrel carb. I also installed a proform hei distributor. The interior of the car is in good shape. There are no cracks in the dash pad. The headliner has some cracks. The seats are in great shape except the rear bottom seat has cracks where the stitching came apart. The front seat is cloth, the rear is vinyl. I have installed a new cd player and rear speakers. The ash tray is missing, I have to look but I may have a spare. All the lights in the cluster work. The only gauge that works is the gas gauge. The speedometer doesn't work so I don't know the true mileage. Underneath the car is solid. Two areas of the floor were replaced. A section on the passenger front and a small section on the driver rear. They appear to be a good repair. The trunk is good. There are two small holes that are pea sized, but the floor is solid around them. The brakes are new on the front and fairly new on the rear. The car has braided steel brake hoses front and rear. The front end is tight. The only other area that needs some attention is the passenger side subframe. When the car was shipped to me the shipping company ripped the sheetmetal with a tow hook. Looking at it I was going to plate it and weld it or install a section of subframe and weld that in. I did not repair it yet because to me it isn't a safety concern and I want whoever buys the car to repair it how they see fit. Over all the car is a great car with a lot of potential. It is a great driving car. It does need a little attention as I have noted, but well worth it. I have set a reserve on the car which I believe is a fair price. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I accept paypal and a $200.00 deposit is due within 48 hours auction end. I will accept a wire transfer or cash in person upon pick up of vehicle for the remaining balance. The sale is as is with a clean title. I will help with loading vehicle on transport. Thanks for looking.
