Vehicle Detail

The Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite offers more smiles per mile than almost any other car ever built! These cars are lots of fun to drive and fairly simple to restore. I recently acquired several Bugeyes in trade and just sold a restored Bugeye and will be selling a full race Bugeye soon. Also, look for my TVR 2500 listed here soon. This is a full project but is a solid example to restore. Concours restored Bugeyes are selling for big bucks and this is a chance to purchase an affordable project. This car has been fully disassembled and is mocked up for the photos. All the doors, the front bonnet, etc have been unbolted from the body but will be securely strapped on for transport. Let's take a closer look. BODY/FRAME: The tub itself is very solid. There are no signs of any major accident damage or previous major repairs. The places where many Bugeyes rust-the rear spring hangers are solid in this car. The front frame, battery box area, etc are all solid. There is some rust on the floorboards (if this car was together and running, I would just patch but since this car will need a full resto I would replace with inexpensive repo floorboards) There is minor rust in a couple of other places on the body but not bad at all. Ebay no longer allows clickable links to more pictures. Please email me directly for a link to even more detailed pictures. There are some dings and minor dents on the body work but nothing too serious. A spare rear shroud (the part in the middle of the car between the rear fenders, aka: the trunk area is included) MECHANICAL CONDITION: As I said earlier, this car has been taken completely apart. The motor block, head, and pistons, etc are all there but taken apart. The suspension and steering is still on the car and the car steers and rolls. A ribcase transmission comes with the car. MANY spare parts are included in the car including disc brake front end (you'll want those brakes if you built a hot motor!), 2 spare rear ends, and lots and lots of other parts. Again, please look at my picture link to see all of the included spare parts. INTERIOR: The factory dash and all gauges are included. Also, a rare British radio is included. There is a drivers seat but no passenger seat, top, or top frame. There are easily obtained parts and about the only obvious things not included in the car. SUMMARY: This is a very solid fairly rust free Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite project and is certainly worthwhile of a full restoration. Lots of spares included. Georgia does NOT issue titles for this year car (no titles issued prior to 1962) and this car will be sold with an official Georgia Bill of Sale form T-7 with my signature notarized. Please email me for any questions or for a link to even more detailed photos of this car.
