Print this listing 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7Vehicle OverviewAmong all the 911s, a few models have achieved elevated status and desirability. One of them is the early 2.7-liter Ducktail Carrera. A total of 528 US version Carreras were built in 1974. These cars were derived from the 2.7 RS Touring and Lightweight cars from the previous year to be a limited run of high-performance USA market road cars. Additionally, the US spec Carreras were able to retain the beautiful Ducktail rear spoiler from the 1973 RS cars which was unavailable in 1974 on the European version cars. The 1974 models were unique in that they did not have thermal reactors and did not suffer from the excessive heat and related problems that the later 2.7 engines were known to have. This 1974 Porsche Carrera is #455 with a March 1974 production date. It was sold new at Porsche Audi Manhattan, NY on May 4th, 1974. Unrestored condition with 68k miles showing. Engine# 6342431 Transmission# 7348121 Mechanically strong. Good gearbox, syncros and clutch. Sport exhaust. Sound suspension. Finished in its orignal color combination of Peru Red (color code 042) over Black leather. Updated rear deck lid, correct fiberglass tail with metal frame. Paint is largly original, with the exeption of hood and tail. Original fenders on all four corners. Interior is un-restored. Orginal dash, seats, carpet and headliner. Dash is crack free. Some sun fadding on the carpets and some wear on the drivers seat bolster. Factory options include: - US Equipment - Power windows - Factory sport seats - "Koni" Shocks - Sunroof delete - "S" Brakes - Blaupunkt Radio Bamburg w/ Cassette player - Tinted glass - Pirelli tires - Rear spoiler The condition of the factory sports seats and the interior in general support the low mileage of the car.
