This 1962 Bug went through a complete restoration 10 years ago and still shows well. The transmission was rebuilt 2 years ago and raised 2" which allows the Bug to be lowered without the rear wheels having excessive camber. Runs great with tons of power and rides nice for a lowered Bug. Very solid body with no rust anywhere.Recently had the 1776 engine freshened up with Steve Tims ported and polished big valve heads, W110 camshaft, dual Weber 44idf's and has been converted to a 12volt alternator type charging system. Also has a custom header with hideaway muffler and ported ceramic coated heater boxes.Front end has a 4" narrowed adjustable beam with drop spindles, disc brakes and brand new 15x4.5 polished Fuch style wheels with new 185/60R15 tires.Rear has the 2" trans raise, 2.5" drop spring plates, disc brakes and brand new 15x5.5 polished Fuch style wheels with 205/65R15 tires.Brand new interior including seat upholstery and door panels. Still has the original Saphire I radio (which is not hooked up) and brand new Vintage Speed short throw shifter. This is not a show car but a great looking driver that can be taken to shows and gets lots of attention everywhere.
