Vehicle Detail

1968 Pontiac Firebird OHC6 4Bbl 3 speed floor shift stick with console. I'm no Pontiac expert, but from what I can tell this is the more desirable Sprint package. It has the 4 barrel intake and a floor console, so that's what I'm basing my assumption on that it's a Sprint. Sold absolutely as is where is. The carb is missing, but everything else appears to be present. I've never tried to start it, however I can turn the engine by hand. I never had any keys to it. It obviously needs attention throughout, but it is a complete and unmolested fairly rare '68 Firebird Sprint. Floors are bad, one rear rail needs replacement, the other rail may be useable. The front sub-frame looks OK to me. The hood I believe is a Formula hood that was added somewhere along the way. There is an extra radiator and a couple old Keystone's in the trunk, but other than that and a few other odds-n-ends in the trunk, I have no other parts; what you see is what is included. I do have the other aluminum rim not shown in the pics, and I can include that if necessary. It rolls and steers, no brakes. It will obviously need to be towed, and I would suggest either a roll back or full car trailer (a dolly probably wouldn't be a good idea unless you're just moving it locally). Is there rust -YES, plan on everything needing attention. It's a total project to be sure. Don't buy this expecting to play with it a few evenings and be driving it. If you're a dreamer or a driveway weekend warrior - this probably isn't for you. I'll be happy to sell it to you and take your money, but I want whoever shows up to be aware of the condition before the bid and know what they're buying. After the auction ends is the time for paying and picking up, not taking a look and thinking about it. But if you want a car like this and are willing and able to do the work required, this is probably the least expensive and most complete example of a first generation Firebird you're likely to find. A $200 deposit via paypal is required within 24 hours from end of auction, balance in cash at pick up. Full payment and pick up within 2 weeks from end of auction. I have clear title in my name in hand. I will provide additional pic's and descriptions in reply to specific questions. Please ask prior to bidding. Inspections are invited and encouraged. Now bid, you know you want it. On Oct-05-12 at 07:37:12 PDT, seller added the following information: I was planning on receiving a bunch of questions, but to date I have only received two. The latest being a request for pics. I've uploaded a bunch of pics to Flickr, please follow this think; flickr.com/photos/dadscads/
