You are bidding on a fine example of the rare 1966 Ford Galaxie 500XL convertible, the car is a 390 4bbl, auto, it is equipped with a flawlessly functioning power convertible top in very good condition, the body is straight as are the bumpers (they have a scuff and a scrape here and there, the floors in the car are very nice and solid, the car has been (I believe) restored probably in the early 90s or so, it runs and drives well and steers and stops how it should, I have driven the car appx 500 miles this summer to car shows and it gets alot of attention where ever it is. it had sat prior to my purchase for some time in a garage , it was donated to the church and bought as a donation to the church, it has a clean and clear title. the engine runs good,it does smoke slightly when leaving a stop light but thats the only time it smokes, I do not know how many miles are on the car it reads 87,000. the paint is nice and shiny it is however really nice looking from 5-10 feet ( I`d call it a 10 footer)but actually looks nice from 5, it does shine really nice and is base/clear , the only rust I have found is 6 bubbles at the convertible top reveal molding (snap trim for top boot) on the drivers side, the top of the rear wheel opening (1 1/2 inch x 1/2") drivers side and a small spot on drivers door in lower rear corner, that is it. the engine and bay are clean. this is a really nice driver quality car and is sold as such, i put a link on the auction to Hagerty car value and st my reserve below a # 3 condition car, http://www.hagerty.com/valuationtools/HVT/VehicleSearch/Report?vc=1343141 it is better than average so I`d say between 2 and 3. it shows well and is by no means perfect but of very respectable shape. please email any questions before bidding and buyer is responsible for shipping costs and arrangements. I have a few transport companies I have or people I know have used in the past.The tires are BF Goodrich TA radial and have less than 1000 miles on them, The car is sold as is and I have described it to the best of my knowledge. Payment is to be by bank wire transfer within 72 hours of auctions end and must clear my bank at which time a copy of the signed title will be sent by email and the signed title will be overnight air mailed to the buyer and a copy , except to canada which requires title to be carried by the auto shipper for customs purposes. please do not bid on car if you are not going to pay the price bid, i will not lower the price once auction is ended period, ending price includes NO shipping costs, these are to be incurred by the buyer.
