Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a beautiful 1969 Chrysler Newport convertible; it's all original including paint; never been hit. This car was purchased from the original owner’s family near Baltimore, Md. It's always been garaged kept and regularly maintained by its owner (a non-smoker). In fact, I asked a Mopar authority (appraiser) to exam the car. He stated: “Out of all the Chrysler 300s, New Yorkers and Newports I’ve looked at in my travels, this is one of the best original convertibles I’ve seen. It’s a pleasure to find a rust free classic like this one. Chrysler only made a handful of these Newport convertibles in 1969.” The floor pans, frame rails, and trunk are in excellent condition. Neither the steering wheel nor the dash are cracked—AWESOME! The paint is worn in some areas; some scratches and some of it is starting to fade but that’s to be expected for an original factory paint job. As for the top, it works great but the back glass window is starting to separate from the fabric at the bottom of the glass. There is also a small tear on the upper part of the passenger front seat. It comes equipped with the following options: · 383 cubic inch V8 with 2bbl carb.· 727 Torque-Flite automatic trans.· Power steering.· Power disc brakes.· Factory A/C—blows cold.· AM/FM factory stereo radio—works great—rear 'scratchy' speaker may need to be replaced.· Power Top—deluxe grain pattern—works great—good condition.· Fender mounted turn signal lights—rare option—work great.· Remote drivers and passengers side mirrors—rare option.· Original convertible boot.· Bench seat.· Original seats (see factory pattern), carpet and sun visors.· Original paint (code W1).· Original wheel covers--full size spare, jack, lug wrench etc.· New tires—Sears “Guardsman” 15 inch.· New battery and cables.· New starter and fuel pump.· Complete major tune-up including ignition wires etc. The gas tank was also drained/flushed. · All fluids, filters, hoses and belts have been changed including a complete transmission service.· The brake lines are in good condition and some are new (rear).· Very good shocks and exhaust system.· Glass is not cracked and all windows work easily including side vent roll out windows.· Impressive documentation--I believe the build sheet may still be under the rear seat.· All lights including back-up lights, interior/dash lights, trunk light and glove compartment light work great. · Heater & Defroster—work great. ***Should you have any questions, contact Bill at 410-271-6800 *** Vehicle Terms: The car is sold AS-IS with no guarantee/warranty either expressed or implied. Successful bidder pays $500 down payment (PayPal is preferred) for the vehicle within 48 hours of bid close and should make arrangements to pick up the car within 2 weeks of auction close.
