This Jaguar will make a great project for those who would like an inexpensive summer toy. The Jaguar has several miles on her, so you won’t feel guilty about driving it, as you would with a pristine classic. The engine and gearbox function properly and with a little maintenance, it will drive great. Address the issues noted below and you will have fun XJS, at a reasonable price. BODY: The body has numerous rust spots and the paint is original with the clear coat peeling. All of the rust spots are surface rust and are easily repairable. The driver floor pan has holes, which are repairable. The chrome is complete and is very presentable. The glass is in good condition as well. INTERIOR: The seats are usable, and the top is newer, without flaws. The headliner of the tops is also in good condition. The door panels are okay and are restorable. All of the wood veneer needs to be replaced. MECHANICAL: The vehicle is currently running on 10 cylinders. The vehicle needs a complete tune up to fix this common issue. Once the tune up is made, the engine will perform properly. The starter needs to be replaced, but the vehicle currently starts and drives. The brake booster needs to be replaced, along with the pads. The rotors are good and can be turned and reused. All of the electrical components function properly. We drove the vehicle 200 miles from the purchase site, and the running temperature is perfect. The oil gauge sending unit needs to be replaced. SHIPPING & PAYMENT: A $500 non-refundable deposit via PayPal is due immediately after completion of the auction.
