For sale is my beautiful and rare 1965 Rambler American 440H coupe with factory air, which blows cold. This car is in excellent condition, and would make a great addition to any Rambler afficianado's collection, or a terrific starter car for the old car hobby. Simple to work on, reliable and economical, and fun to drive. It will turn more heads than a 150K Mercedes. The stunning interior is all original, and the car has had a repaint with clearcoat in the original Barcelona Taupe metallic with a white top. It is in super shape, but it is not a flawless show car. There are a few extremely minor nicks in the finish, and a couple of small wear spots on the front bucket seats. It needs the emergency brake cable replaced; I have the part in the trunk, but have no time to replace it myself. Might be a small exhaust leak; nothing major, and should be a simple fix. I just put in a rebuilt vacuum wiper motor last spring. Everything else works well. The 8- track tape deck pictured is not included in the sale; I have owned it for almost 40 years (the tape deck, not the car). Selling this one because I recently bought a Rambler 990H. You can have a car to take to shows, or just tool around in, for the price of a nice paint job. And it's not just another Chevy, or Ford. These unibody Ramblers are becoming more and more rare. This was a Texas car, and owned for most of its life by a woman. I have the original bill of sale, owner's manual, and a shop manual. These cars were noted for their Cadillac-like smooth ride, and the manual steering gives it great road feel for a 60's car. Happy bidding!
