1987 Toyota Pickup for sale. 2 Owner. Bought in 2009 and brought up to Massachusetts from original owner in Texas. Great truck, but needs a new home. Someone who can do engine work. Timing chain wore through case and it has some rod-knock at the bottom of the engine. A rebuild is in order. Decided to buy new (used) instead since I don't have the time or expertise. It was close when I brought it up from Texas, but it's since been through 3 New England winters. Its clean, but it sure ain't perfect. Good/Bad list: Good - It ran very well for me before the engine pooped out. Clean for an 87. First automatic ever owned, but surprisingly enjoyed it. No problems with the 4 wheel drive. Aisin hubs are great. Bad - Some hail bumps on hood & roof from years in Texas. Not bad enough for me to do anything with, but one bump on hood makes it pop when you open it. Rear bumper lost in a encounter with a birch tree two winters back. Tailgate has some rust around "TOYOTA" and closes tough from birch tree incident. AC could be colder. Wear holes under floor mats. Rear leaf springs have the sag. (I bought some black magic coil springs from southwest speed to install between leaf springs and bumpstops, but never got around to it. I'll include those.) Oh, and overdrive button on shifter won't stay down, but overdrive works. Also, a matching bed cab is available as well. Forgot about that as its been out back since I bought the truck! It'll need some TLC to clean it up... I'll grab a photo if requested. Lastly, just realized CarFax shows 3 owners instead of 2. That is correct and has been edited. I understood that the second owner bought truck from his father or something and forgot...
