A fabulous 850 sedan with clean, rust-free body and full-power(non-turbocharged for hi mpg!). Volvo's first model with standard SIPS and ahead of it's time for safety engineering. It is a rare model to find in this condition and miles today. It is clean inside and out-and drives like the original low-miles car that it should. Has all standard factory options such as power windows, power locks, cruise control, tilt wheel and more.
Driving; motor runs smoothly at all temperatures, and transmission shifts correctly in all gears. Factory wheels have all-season tires with deep tread. The driver's seat has little wear-through on the side bolster which is a plus but needs a couple of stitches in the seam.

Maintenance; As this is a new-car trade, no service records come in the glovebox due to store's 'privacy policy'. Take the ViN to your local Volvo store's Serv. Mgr. to run on his national service data base for component recall/history. Winter package includes the wonderful front seat warmers and headlamp wiper feature that never works on this model. Likely due for regular interval service, oil change-available at a local specialist shop. Good, no rust problems-body, sharp paint, has usual bumper scrapes, tears and puncture under yellow sticker on front bumper(see pix) and light clearcoat scratches attendant with a family vehicle of the era. Far better than average for the year and miles!
Fixit's ; may be due for oil change or regular service interval. Black vinyl trim needs adhesive on leading edge of roof. Hood clearcoat is opaque on few areas on hood and tops. Interior is due for detail, available for $75 at a local shop before delivery. Few dings and scrapes. Overall body and interior far better than average at this age but not for perfectionists.
